Just a question for you fine folks out there in Blogville: when you find a 1/4-inch gray root running about six inches under the dirt in your garden, should it go "bbbzzzzztttt!" when you cut it?

I didn't think so.

Yeah...been there. I once pounded a pet tie-out spike into the backyard. Couldn't figure out why the garage door opener wouldn't work after that. I had managed to find the exact spot that the power line from the house to the garage was buried and very efficiently severed it like the magician sawing a girl in half. Good thing the hammer had a wooden handle.

It must be a family trait. Don's '30-minute' projects typically took 1.5 days, a trip to ER, and three stitches.
